frost bite?

well heres my story I work in a freezer. the one side is -12 and the other is -20 degrees farenheight. I drive a Forklift in these conditions for about ten hours. now today i was working and my left hand fingers started to get extremly cold i ignored it kept working and my hand warmed back up about a half an hour went by and my hand got extremly cold again but this time it didnt warm up so I left the freezer and went into a warmer area. at this point i could not bend my middle and ring fingers and the began throbbing. i just kept moving to warmer and warmer temps. for example from -12 to 30 to 50 to 65 degrees now both finger havr been tingling for about 5 hours. the cuticle part of the finger is bright red. i was just wondering what i should do?

Frostbite will usually turn black and blue like a bruise. You should probably go have it checked anyway.

Wear protective gloves. Actually, mittens are better, because your fingers will warm each other and don’t wear metal rings or any metal jewelry.

Some people who work in cold climates use petroleum jelly on their hands prior to putting on gloves. This helps insulate the fingers.

I’m trying to find out whether "a granite block can release oil stained on the floorboard".?

This is an import shipment which the customer claimed that they did not use forklift to unstuff their cargo but we need to ensure if it’s not the Forklift then it must be the granite that releases oil stained on the floorboard. I was once told that it could. Hope to receive positive answers!

Granite cannot contain oil. This I am positively sure. Now, maybe, there was oil on the granite before, because of earlier manipulation.

where can I get certified to operate a forklift?

I live in Aurora, il and I am trying to get a job anywhere in operating a Forklift, but I feel that nobody is hiring me because I am not certified and have no experience. So is there anyhere I can be trained for a decent price?

Freddy,

Forklift training is usually an OTJ certification.

Fake it. You have a computer and a printer. Write up your own certification and print your certificate on fancy paper. That will at least get your foot in the door.
