forklift operators license in New-Brunswick?

I was thinking of getting my forklift license and I was wondering, does it take a class 5 license in order to go for it, because I have a class 7 right now (until october), although I am currently 21. I currently have a part-time job for a little bit of extra cash because I am currently on unemployment (the government knows about the money I make) and I was thinking of going for a career in driving a forklift.

Generally you don’t need a drivers license at all, unless you’re operating the Forklift on a public road, or other public space (Fairgrounds, park, mall, airport ramp, etc). At least in BC, you don’t absolutely need a license, although it makes the Workers Compensation Board inspector happy.

You can try contacting somewhere like http://www.atlantictransport.com/, and see what they offer for training, and you might even be able to get unemployment to pay for it. Possibly get them to send you for the forklift and maybe a backhoe operators card as retraining.

Good luck! :)
